The Big Day

BOOKANDEUC.jpg

You might think with a title like that, that I was getting married or something. Those of you who follow me on social media know that’s not the case, since I got married three and a half weeks ago! We don’t have many photos yet but at the end of this blogpost is my new husband’s (!!! still feels weird—and fun—to say that) favourite photo so far 💕

What I’m actually alluding to in my subject line is that today is the day that my book Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners is finally available to the public!

These past few weeks, it’s been fun sharing behind the scenes stories or sneak peaks via social media, and I’ve been so moved by your expressions of joy on my behalf. It has most certainly increased the amount of joy I’ve felt! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.

In the meantime, read below what colleagues I deeply admire–Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, and Larry Yang–have said about my book.

If you’ve ordered a copy, please take a photo and tag or send to me. I can’t wait to see my baby “in the wild”! If you’ve already read it (the e-version has been available for over a week), please write a review as they help instruct others on whether to buy the book or not.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeee! So exciting and nerve-racking!

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

Below is what a few of my beloved colleagues and revered teachers have to say about my book. I am so honored by their endorsements. Pinch me, I must be dreaming!

“Dawn has offered an elegantly simple, wise, and practical approach to mindfulness. In troubled times, these practices are enormously valuable―they help steady the heart, heal the body, and calm the mind.”
―Jack Kornfield, author of A Path With Heart

“Begin your meditation life with total support from this volume. With Dawn Mauricio’s 50 different meditations, there are 50 doorways into a more peaceful, balanced, compassionate life. Something the world needs now!”
―Larry Yang, author of Awakening Together: The Spiritual Practice of Inclusivity and Community

“An exceptional, clear and inspirational guide for new meditators as they embark on a journey of deepening insight and openheartedness.”
―Tara Brach, author of Radical Acceptance and Radical Compassion

YOU MADE IT THIS FAR …

Here it is! My new husband’s favorite photo of the few we’ve received so far. Good friend and photographer extraordinaire Guillermo Castellanos captured our special day by camera.
