I Wrote a Book!

Did you catch the big news that I shared on social media this week? I wrote a book!

Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners is a guide that will help you become proficient in the basics of mindfulness, build essential meditation skills, and get tips on how to establish a daily practice. A huuuuuuge passion of mine is making this practice accessible to beginners because I firmly believe that, with the help of mindfulness, we can experience moments of freedom and clarity that can lead to skillful responses and wise action in our everyday lives.

My favorite part of writing this book was integrating years of working with students—I got to put in writing responses to the most common questions and obstacles I’ve received (and lived!). It is said that there are 10,000 doorways into the Dhamma (the teachings of the Buddha), and in this book, I provided you with 50 entry points.

Learn more about the book and pre-order a copy via this link, which intentionally sends you to Amazon.com and not .ca in order to make a positive impact on the Amazon algorithm.

A NOTE ABOUT PRE-ORDERING

Pre-orders are a big help to authors and are considered more important than sales in the lead up to a book launch.

Here's why:

1. They help get the book to appear on the first page of an Amazon (or other online bookstores), increasing the possibility of exposure.

2. Additionally, when brick and mortar stores see there are pre-orders for a book, they are more inclined to order it and grant it shelf space.

As one of my favorite marketers, Kelly Diels said about my dear friend Sebene Selassie’s book You Belong: “In other words: when you pre-order, you're creating leverage for the authors you believe in and you're literally investing in the work you want to see more of in the world.”
